The Good Neighbor Project
The Coronavirus has impacted or will impact every single person in various ways. From those experiencing homelessness or extreme poverty, to your neighbor next door. As a church we want to consider this an opportunity to pursue and serve ALL our neighbors in what could be a difficult time for them.
Through the Good Neighbor Project, we will be collecting groceries and non-perishables to deliver to folks experiencing homelessness and survivors of trafficking.
We’ll also use it as a tool to help you connect with your neighbors that live near you! We’ve provided a card that will help you invite them to donate groceries while also checking in with them to see if they have any needs themselves. And of course we’ll squeeze in an invite to our online services anytime we can!
We are hoping to facilitate meeting physical needs, to bring individuals out of isolation, and to open the door for gospel conversations and invitations to our online gatherings that will hopefully lead to in-person connections in the future.
so how does it work?
Pick up your Good Neighbor Cards + Box from the church offices. Or use your own box and print the cards at home using the template below!
Fill out the card template and pass out to your neighbors. You fill out the front and left side, and your neighbors fill out the right side!
Put your box out and wait for your neighbors to fill it up! Whether you keep it on your front porch or by the street - that’s up to you! Just keep it accessible for neighbors.
Let us know when the box is full! Email City Renewal for drop off instructions.
